I'll try to do a weekly article of at least 3 retarded things that people have done. You guys can write your own stupid things that people have done, and we'll vote on which one was the effing stupidest of the week.
1) This guy at my work is trying to send an email and he keeps getting an error that Outlook doesn't recognize the email address and it will not send. He calls me over to his desk and it is apparent that he's trying to send an email to this address: www.oceansupply.com
"NOT TO SCALE...LOL PLEASE QUOTE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL ME ROB 954-444-5782 "
But there's no attachment. Guy forgot the attachment, another common error. Here is his "technical" drawing, which is attached to the 2nd email.
yeah, he wrote it on a piece of cardboard, then took a picture of it.3) Casey asks me to look at her friend's website and tell her what I think of it. The website is totallyteeshirtsoutlet.com. Apparently her friend hired a guy that has no computer background to make the website because he said he was a "fast learner." The site is just a mess.
The designer puts the google site verification right on the page where people will read it. That is supposed to go in the <Head> tag so the computers (like google's search engine) can read it, but humans won't see it.
I wish I could place a gif on here of me clapping.
ReplyDeleteAll 3 are amazing.
The bottom one (Casey's friend) is probably my favorite.
first off, this is a great column idea
ReplyDeletealso, i dont know if i can beat any of these, but gerry is right. the last one is unbelievably funny. trying to send an email to a company website is pretty clever as well.
my story is bob trying to find an email.
bob: brad where did this email go, it was in spam and i hit the button that says 'not spam'
brad: it puts it in your inbox
bob: no, its not in there, i looked
brad: when you click that button it takes the message from your spam and puts it in your inbox, it wont be the top item though because it will put it in your inbox in the order it came so there might be messages on top of it in teh inbox
bob: i checked twice its not in there
brad: (walks to bobs computer, points to screen) its right there, 3rd message down
bob: oh yeah there it is
