Game Haiku

There was a post on another site that had some written about whatever game you have played. Haiku are quite simple. The key is the pacing. They are generally 3 phrases, the first and third have 5 beats, or syllables. The 2^nd phrase has 7. No rhyming is required. Haiku in English don’t really compare to those in Japanese, since the rules of the language allow for much more specific timing. But we aren’t going to worry about that. Just have 5 syllables, then 7, then 5 again. It’s hard to fit a decent thought into so few syllables, but that’s the fun of it.

I'll summarize the article for you.

Starting with Modern Warfare 3, they will be offering a service called COD Elite. It will be less than $8 a month. It will allow extensive stat tracking and map pack downloads. I think you can have more videos in your theater as well.

If you don't have COD Elite, you can still play online. I don't know if you get all the normal stat tracking or not.

With COD Elite you can play Nazi Zombies with Mark Hamil, Matt Hamill, and Scott Junk.

MMA Discussion 05-31-2011

Because the main event was lackluster I decided to talk about 2 of the bright spots of the night....which a lot of people are forgetting.

1. Struve getting ko'd by Travis Browne. Everyone is on Travis Brownes sack now. People seem to forget he fought Kongo to a draw.

2. Brian Stann. Looks better & better every fight. He needs a fight with Mark Munoz (or another grappler) to test his wrestling / BJJ. After that, a fight with a a striker or a title shot should happen.

How Effin Stupid are you? Issue #9

I was looking through a company's recent jobs and came across this one. This spelling of San Diego is an injustice. Perhaps they could be fined for it in the very building they helped construct.
I emailed them a week ago that it was wrong and it hasn't been fixed.


I assume this guy didn't type his own name, but still, the typo is funny. The idea of a brain walker is kinda creepy.

Everything is wrong with this automated reply. It says he will be back by Friday, yet it's Friday and the autoresponder is still set. Also, Friday's date is the 27th, not the 26th. Outlook gets it right in the date sent. And yeah, we have a secret project called project X. Deal with it.

anyway, time for the friday meme, brought to you by carls jr. this is the 60's spiderman meme. somebody put a pic of spiderman as the header a while back and i found it hilarious, i looked into it and found a bunch more stuff just like it. apparently in the 60's the spiderman cartoon had some terrible animations that just look awkward, so people start putting funny words to it and boom, meme.

i think everybody probably heard that arnold had a love child on the side and is now getting divorced, when I heard this, so many things were going through my head and i wanted to start writing them down. this has to be the greatest day ever for people that write headlines.
