i read about this game in game informer probably a year ago and thought it looked cool.  there is a preview for it in the new issue.  it comes out in september, it looks like another fallout 3 wasteland game, but with some new features.  in Rage, you get your own customizable vehicle, my only complaint about fallout 3 was that i wish you had a car, so getting a buggy, especially one that is customizable and upgradable, should be extremely awesome.  it sounds like there will be a ton of side missions and you can follow a few different storylines.  some people are posting that its a rip off of borderlands and fallout.  i say about effin time someone made another borderlands game if 2k isnt going to.  also, people have been making wasteland games and movies for a long time.

one thing i'm extremely interested in, multiplayer.  right now it says TBD, but they just announced that the game wont have dedicated servers (just like COD) but why would they even need any servers if the game wasnt online? just wondering

i'm getting this game for sure, the only question is, are you guys gonna get it to play multiplayer with me or just wait til i finish and borrow it.  these developers need to realize how many more copies of a game you can sell if you make a coop mode.

I'm not sure if you guys have heard about or seen the preview for this movie, but it looks like it has some potential.  the premise is that these girls are in some type of psych ward and have these dreams about doing crazy stuff like blowing things up and shooting guns and fighting giant magical samurai robots.  also did i mention all of the girls are extremely hot.

its directed by zack snyder, he did 300 and watchmen and dawn of the dead remake featuring ving rhames.  300 is amazing, watchmen was ok, but both had cool action scenes ... and nudy scenes, just sayin

also in the preview i saw, the music was pretty cool as well, so it could be a good soundtrack.

I think we have probably all heard about this game already.  it looks similar to the Conflict: desert storm games we played 10 years ago.  After reading the preview about the game it seems like this game is really focused around multiplayer, which is exactly what we all want.  heres a quote from one of the writeups.

 "rebuilding the series from the ground up, focusing on story, four-player co-op gameplay".

Sounds banging, right? 

the flashpoint series is supposed to be a much more realistic simulation of combat than call of duty or other series.  But their first game, Dragon rising, was a little too realistic.  It didnt have any HUD or options to make it easier for non-hardcore gamers.  In red river, they allow different options so you can adjust your level of realism, so you can have hud or aim assist, basically play it as a real combat simulation or just have fun.

Also, they completely did away with online versus multiplayer and instead focused on making different online coop game modes.  So there is a full coop story mode as well as coop survival, rescue, and escort missions.

I'm interested to see what the reviews say for this game when game informer gets a hold of it.

the character customization seems cool as well, there are 4 different classes with different specialties.  you get experience points from playing levels as well as skill points that can be added to different attributes.  there are unlockable weapons, gear, and perks.  the preview also said you could spend skill points to upgrade your AI teammates, yeah, def not doing that

The only problem I see with the game is that it is 4-player coop, so when we have more than 4 somebody is off the team.
