who'd you rather: X-women edition

mike and I were discussing the new x-men movie and he brought up a good point, who wouldn't want Mystique to be their girl. she can transform into anyone, pretty awesome. Even the blue form isn't too bad. Then i got to thinking, if you couldn't pick Mystique, who would you pick.

i tried to limit it to main characters. also, remember you are picking the character, not the actor playing them.

Jean Grey, telekenesis, telepathy. kind of crazy though
she can start a fire with her thoughts

Rogue, steals peoples life force or mutant powers. dont think anyone would pick her, you can never touch her and she cant touch you, unless she wears the gloves. on the upside she's gotta be a virgin.

Silverfox, she can persuade you to do stuff or calm people down.
She's probably the most normal one out of every girl on this list.
on the downside, you'll never know if you actually want to watch some crappy chick flick with her or if she's persuading you to like it.

Storm, manipulates the elements, can fly sometimes.
when your friends ask where your girl is you can reply,
"theres a storm coming"

lady deathstrike, basically female wolverine
she's aggressive and probably crazy, pretty hot though.
She's Japanese if you're into that.
not sure if the claws detract, handjobs are too risky (footjobs?).

Emma Frost, telepathic, can turn to ice form. This girl was real hot in the movie, plus
while the other people are mostly in leather jumpsuits she is in lingerie.
downside is you'll never know if you are actually banging her or if you are just banging her in your mind. either way would be cool.

since Mystique is a big part of the movies, I didn,t want to leave her out. Its not really fair for her to compete against the other characters because she can become any one of them. Also she is extremely flexible. So for this one, you are picking the actor instead of the character.

Jennifer Lawrence, younger and hasn't gotten with john stamos (that i know of)

Rebecca Romijn, great body, great face

X-MEN FIRST CLASS

went to see the midnight showing of x-men first class.  its was pretty good.  my favorite guy in x-men has always been Magneto, he's pretty unstoppable. This movie was actually supposed to be all about Magneto, similar to the wolverine origins movie, but then they broadened it to include his relationship with Prof X and how the X-men were started.  It had some cool fight scenes as well as getting into Magneto and some other mutants strengthening their powers.  Basically it sets up the whole story of why Magneto and Charles Xavier split ways.  Xavier believes he can be accepted by regular humans and mutants will be allowed to be a part of society.  Magneto knows that they will always try to identify and imprison mutants just like the nazis did to him and his family.

I was hoping they would go into the origins of Magneto's helmet that blocks telepaths from entering his brain, but they don't.  Its just stated that the Russians made it.  At one point, they knock Magneto off the ship and I guess they think they wooped him, but there is a giant metal anchor that he uses to pretty much crush the entire ship.  Also, there is a real bad ass part in a bar where Magneto meets up with some nazi's.
Professor X is pretty strong too though, he basically treats your brain like a hard drive and he's the admin.
he does a couple cool things in the movie where he logs into a guys brain and freezes him, or just uses the guy as a video camera to see what they guy is seeing.  He can also do teh men in black memory erase which is pretty cool.  The movie also shows how Xavier ends up paralyzed.

this dude is Azazel, Nightcrawlers dad, he can disappear.  He fights just like nightcrawler, pretty cool.  he wamps a lot of jabroni CIA guys.  my favorite part is that he uses a renewable resource to kill most of them, gravity.  anything he touches warps with him, so he touches them, warps in the air and then lets go and warps out, they fall to their death.  he does some other cool fight stuff too with his sharp tail.
some other new characters are brought into play, but none impressed me as much as Azazel.

The main bad guy is played by Kevin Bacon, pictured above with his girl emma frost, who is hot and a telepath.  Kevin Bacon can absorb any kind of energy and then release it.  although, like any sci-fi movie, its never entirely consistent.

also, there is a pretty sweet cameo of wolverine
